Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser Changes Street Name to Black Lives Matter Plaza

The world this day has come to a sudden change as certain countries has change its way of doing things after the pass on of an African American man, George Floyd who died during a police arrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25, 2020. 

Since then many cities, towns have all embarked on Protests in response to both Floyd's death, and more broadly to police violence against other black Americans, quickly spread across the United States and globally.

Due to this acts in support to get justice for the death of Gorge Floyd, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced that the city has come together to renamed a street in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement to help fight racism.

Taking to social media on Friday, Muriel shared this wonderful news and footage of an intersection being renamed to Black Lives Matter Plaza, In the video, people can be seen gathering and applauding as the street sign is installed.

This day is one to always remember as this act of support for Black Lives Matter was done on "The section of 16th street in front of the White House which is now officially known as ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza.

Bowser feather went on to declare this news on Twitter and in appreciation to her kind gesture, all her followers massively acknowledged her for making such a bold step to help fight racism whiles others also showers her with blessings and long life for being a positive minded person to society.
